Release the Kraken - Block of the Month Quilt by Quarter Inch of Quirk. Find out more at www.QuarterInchofQuirk.comWe’re so excited to reveal our 2017 Block of the Month Quilt; Release the Kraken! We designed this quilt to celebrate our love of the sea, sailing, starry skies and mythical creatures. We’ve combined our loves of foundation paper piecing and traditional patchwork to weave a story of sailors, mermaids and really large tentacled beasts. We hope you love this quilt as much as we do.

Join the Fun!

There’s two options for participating in the Release the Kraken Block of the Month; Monthly or One-Off. We wanted to give you flexibility for those that need it or a bonus discount for those that want to take the plunge. We’ve even got a little something up our selves for those that don’t want to make a full quilt, be sure to read to the bottom of the page to find out more!

One Off Payment – $50AU

We want to reward those of you that want to dive right in and commit to a year of hanging out with Quarter Inch of Quirk. By paying up front with a one off payment you’ll get all of the patterns to make your very own Release the Kraken quilt top for a discounted price of $50AU. That’s two months free!

Patterns will be emailed directly to your inbox on the 1st of every month starting on 1 February. When you sign up you’ll receive the Block of the Month Subscriber Information PDF. This PDF includes information about the Block of the Month, fabric requirements, Kona colour information to make the quilt as per the cover and a colouring sheet to help you plan your quilt. On the 1st of every month you’ll receive the next PDF pattern.

If you sign up after the program has started (after 31 January 2017) you’ll receive the Block of the Month Subscriber Information PDF and all patterns that have been released up to the point of your joining, you’ll then get any remaining patterns on the 1st of each subsequent month until the series is completed. For example, if you sign up in the middle of June you’ll receive the 5 patterns that have been released and then the remaining patterns on the first of each month.

Monthly Payments – $5AU per month

Monthly payments are $5AU per month. On your first payment you’ll receive the Block of the Month Subscriber Information PDF and our Block 1 Pattern, “Always be a Mermaid”. These two PDF’s include information about the Block of the Month, fabric requirements, Kona colour information to make the quilt as per the cover and a colouring sheet to help you plan your quilt.

When you make your first payment you’ll receive the first pattern PDF, “Always be a Mermaid”. From then on you’ll be billed each month on the anniversary of your subscription and you’ll receive the next PDF pattern in the series. For example, if you signed up on the 15th of the month, you’ll be billed and receive the next pattern on the 15th of each subsequent month until you have completed the quilt series.

Please note: By doing the monthly option you will not receive your pattern at the same time as the one off payment participants as you will be on your own billing cycle.

Please note: This is a PDF pattern series. You will not receive anything in the mail. You will need to be able to download, save and print the pattern at home, or via a print shop.

The pattern will include all the details for making a mini quilt or cushion. Perfect for swaps, gifts or just brightening up your walls or couch.

And if you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers (and a nice little video of Liam Neeson saying “Release the Kraken”) for you on our Frequently Asked Questions page, just click here to read more (and see Liam).
